Online Socialising for parents

When I visited England as a tourist everything seemed different I had work, friends, family I could come back to. Well I still can come back to my native country, but now here in the UK is my new life with it's ups and downs.

Since I moved to England things have changed- first few months I was missing what I had in my previous life, I had to start everything from scratch, get used to different culture, with help of my dear husband I felt move comfortable living abroad.
Now I'm at a different stage of my life, I'm going to be a mum soon..I have millions of questions, concerns or sometimes just require a simple mum (to-be) chit- chat.

I'm not alone, there are lots of other mums/dads or mum (dad)-to-be out there who are trying to find someone to talk to, someone who live close to them due to them being lonely or new to the area, one of the places where they can find support or chat could be online community for parents (mums and dads).

Who knew that my daily socialising routine would be via Internet (C&G Community in particular). That I will chat with people who live in different parts of the UK, that I would be able to find online buddies due pretty much at the same time or living not far from my town.

If you wold like to find like-minded people, share your concerns, help someone else with their dilemma or share your amazing moments please join in C&G Community!

  1. Great for new mums or dads, just wish there was something like this for those of us with school aged children.

  2. When I was pregnant I found a couple of really good forums- sadly I don't get the time to visit them much now Im a single parent of a manic toddler- takes me enough time to find space to write my two blogs tallcurvymumma.wordpress.com and singleparentpessimist.blogspot.co.uk

pregnancyforum.co.uk was my favourite one to use!

  3. Cow & Gate is a nice group. I remember they have this mumtor event that they had that I was a part of. It is nice.

I am also new here, well been living here for 3 years but it still feels weird to be in the UK. I have a son and I feel really lonely =(

I don't have friends. I am happy for you that you found friends albeit online.

That is why I am blogging. Its like me telling someone, a friend how my day was and whats bothering me or what I am excited of. Hopefully ill meet a real friend here soon.

  4. I don't have many 'real life' friends any more, the majority are people!I speak to over various social network sites such as twitter, or within blogging community x

  5. Community settings such as this are a lifeline for some parents, especially if you're moving to a new area and want to meet new people. #brillblogposts

  6. Online communities are so crucial to all of us-as much as 'real life' ones. Thanks for linking, do add my badge!
