Review: My Baby's Name Is sleeping bag

Have you ever seen a cool, bright and trendy sleeping bag? If you haven't, may I introduce you to My baby's name is. I have never seen a bright coloured sleeping bag until I came across this brand.
"My Baby's Name Is was created in 2014 in London, UKby designer Szymon Klos, with the loving support of his wife Halina
& inspired by their daughter Matylda...
Our sleeping bags combine a considered design approach
with environmental material sourcing & manufacturing quality".

You can pick from a variety of sizes (0-6, 6-18, 18-36 months), colours (blue, green, grey, orange, yellow) and tog (2.5 and 1 tog) at the reduced price of £25.

As it's design is so bright and enticing to play than to sleep I wondered would it keep L awake?! But to my surprise L wasn't really bothered about it's brightness maybe when I opened the cute white box for the very first time.

I must admit I have mixed feelings about My baby's name sleeping bag.  Let's start with positives:
- made of soft 100% cotton with the added design feature- stitched-through
- you can personalise your sleeping bag by adding your baby's name on the name tag sewed inside the bag (useful if baby sleeps at the nursery)
- double fasteners on shoulder straps
zipped sides which "starts" at the bottom (the zip itself has zip guard at the top)
- I have opted for 2.5 tog and L was safe and very warm in her sleeping bag

Negatives:
- the outer material looks like an outdoor jacket and feels a little bit annoying when I stroke L before she falls asleep. I can be stroking her for up to 30 minutes and when I used it for the very first time it felt weird, "loud" and left a burning sensation on my palm.
- I have picked 6-18 months sleeping bag but it seems that at only 14 months L is a little big for the sleeping bag. Upon checking other sleeping bags it seems to be a common problem
- the tag inside the sleeping bag is too close to feet, so when L feels it she instantly wants to mess with it. Luckily My Baby's Name Is invented a perforated line along the tag so it makes it easier to remove the tag.

Overall, it's a functional sleeping bag with a unique design and if my negative points don't put you off go for it!

Review: Babasac multi tog sleeping bag

Babasac® is a brand new range of sleeping bags for babies - with inner layers that easily zip out, creating a 2-in-1 multi tog baby sleeping bag.
When I first saw BabaSac my attention swayed to this lovely presented baby sleeping bag straightaway. I have picked Pink Heart design for 6-18 months, £38.99.

The design on the outer sleeping bag is very girlie, with a cream base colour and cute pink hearts which really do make the sac aesthetically appealing.

It is quite an impressive sleeping bag with the ability to separate the togs from 2.5 tog to 1.0 tog, simply by removing the velcro lining and unzipping the internal panel.

As you can imagine an overheated baby is not the best idea, so removing layers without the need for a major removal process, makes the Babasac wonderful.

The Babasac has the traditional buttons on the shoulder straps which means easy to fasten without any major hassle, underarm poppers and the zipped sides which open at the bottom make changing your babies nappy a stress free process.
Even though I'm not used to opening the zip at the bottom  as I do not tend to change L at night anymore it is a useful feature for mums with smaller babies.
The sleeping bag is fairly light weight, made from cotton and polyester, and looks like a long-lasting product.

The only minor point- Babasac is a little bit too long and buttons/option to fold lower half of it to make it less long would be ideal.

I have been online recently and noticed that few new designs were added, grey cloud with yellow trim looks super funky and trendy.
Overall, Babasac is a great product and I can certainly recommend it to mums and dads.

Grobag Candy Cloud sleeping bag review

I have had the privilege of reviewing the Grobag Baby Sleeping Bag £19 on sale (Candy cloud 6-18 months). The sleeping bag is a beautiful pink striped design in 100% cotton, designed to keep my little one nice and warm.
I selected the 2.5 tog due to the current/approaching cold winter weather. I must say that my little girl seems to be more than happy in the snug warmth (whilst the parents battle the cold temperatures).

The idea behind the Grobag, is promoting safe sleeping, which is endorsed by the Lullaby Trust. The ease at which it takes to secure my daughter within, demonstrates this safety concept.

I will also like to state that the Grobag has certainly assisted with what used to be an exhausting evening. The fact that the Grobag keeps my baby snug and limited in movements, means less kicking and fidgeting, and more time sleeping.

When I received the Grobag, the first thing that sprung to mind was the lovely packaging. The cardboard packaging that the Grobag comes inside, is superb and there is a nice touch, with a small card showing how the sleeping bag design looks like.
You can also find information about choosing the correct tog, size, safety.

I am particularly impressed by the enclosed thermometer, which we use in our living room, to check the temperature.

Design features:
- double popper for extra security
 - under arm poppers to be used for babies between 8.8- 10lb
- Zip-click cover stops adventurous little ones from opening their zips

Due to L being a little bit small for it, even though she is 7 months old I have some feedback which would help improve an already excellent product. They are as follows:

  • more broad/specific sizes required, such as 0-6, 6-12 etc.
  • buttons/option to fold lower half of Grobag to make it less long
  • perhaps a plain/budget option would appeal to those unable to afford a Grobag.
Despite the minor disadvantages, the Grobag is a lovely sleeping bag product for my baby and I would definitely recommend to my friends & family.Disclaimer: I was sent the above item for the purpose of this review. All thought and opinions are my own.
