Pampers Pooface video celebrates that hilarious baby face!

When L was little we were very surprised to find out that her funny faces and noises are always followed by a loud wind or poo. I also didn't know that facial expressions and red eyebrows are like signs telling us if she has a soiled nappy.

New award-winning #PampersPooface video celebrates that hilarious baby face and empowers parents not to fear the mess!

Research reveals that 9 in 10 UK parents wouldn’t leave the house without a pack of Baby Wipes.

Today, new research conducted by Pampers with more than 1,000 UK parents, has revealed the extent of parents’ love forBaby Wipes as the remedy to quickly clean up all types of baby mess. With 9 in 10 UK parents admitting they can’t leave the house without a pack of Wipes, Pampers study is undoubtedly reflective of just how many messy moments babies and toddlers find themselves in. To bring the research to life, Pampers has created an award-winning video, which has recently received three Cannes Lions Awards. It features gorgeous babies Joey, Elin, Daniel and Myla to highlight those adorable poo faces that every baby pulls, which all parents know signals that a wipes moment is not far away!

The survey sheds light on what baby mess situations parents fear the most – with nappy mess topping the list for half of parents, closely followed by the 4 in 10 parents who fear baby food mess the most. Additionally, the findings have uncovered the different attitudes of mums and dads when it comes to baby mess, with three fifths (60%) of dads fearing nappy mess the most compared to just two fifths of mums. The survey also revealed the top uses of baby wipes; for 9 in 10 parents it was wiping their baby’s bottoms (91%) and 8 in 10 parents use wipes to wipe their baby’s face.

Dr Tabi Leslie, consultant dermatologist and member of Pampers’ Love, Sleep & Play Panel says, “Pampers’ research has shown that the vast majority of parents are using Baby Wipes and that they are being used most frequently to clean up baby’s skin. That’s why I would ask parents to consider how delicate and sensitive their baby’s skin is and try to choose products specifically designed for them. Pampers Wipes have been dermatologically accredited by the Skin Health Alliance meaning that that are kind to your little one’s skin. They are proven to be milder than cotton wool and water for gentle cleaning.”

Paolo Haeusermann, Brand Manager for Pampers, Northern Europe says “We are really excited to launch our fun and light hearted video which celebrates and dramatises that adorable baby pooface which is an instantly recognisable and comical moment for all parents! We know that being a parent involves a lot of messy moments, but whatever that red face might lead too, with Pampers Wipes a clean baby is just a wipe away!”
In combination with the release of the research, Pampers is unveiling its new triple award-winning #Pamperspooface video onYouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrrnC62X6eA for all parents to celebrate and enjoy those adorable red cheeks, intense stares, double chins and grimacing mouths!

What's in my changing bag?

When I'm venturing out of the house or leaving little L with grandparents I'm always trying to make sure that I have everything L would need. Sometimes my bag looks like a mess and I can't find what I'm looking for but I know that all the essentials are there, even a spare nappy is always there in case I don't have any at home :-)
So here is what I carry:

  • Breastfeeding cover in case I need to feed L when out and about
  • Teething toy and teething liquid as poor L is struggling with either molar or canine teething coming through
  • Straw bottle with water for when L is thirsty
  • Toys to entertain L
  • Changing mat to make L's changing comfy and clean
  • Small towel to wipe wet bum
  • Baby wipes to wipe dirty surfaces, hands and bum
  • Nappy and nappy bag
  • Leg warmers in case if L wants to crawl but wears a cute outfit I don't want to ruin
  • Antibacterial hand gel in case if I have to pick up something dirty or wipe surfaces
  • Bib for dribble or eating
  • Food and snacks, they are not on the picture as I pick on the day what I'm going to take. Normally I would have a jar, a pouch, biscuit and a pack of puffs.
I don't normally put my phone in the bag as I prefer it to be closer e.g. in a pocket, and I don't have a purse as someone stole my purse before few times and I feel safer without one, but I do carry a little bit of cash in my pocket.

Nordic wipes review

When L was born I started to use water wipes but just few days later I have noticed that she has a nappy rash. I decided to use baby wipes when on the go and for day to day bum wiping to use well- known cotton wool and water.

Few months ago I came across Nordic Wipes and thought that it's a great alternative to cotton wool.
We are two Danish mums that have started a company called Nordic Wipes, that specializes in unique allergy friendly wipes, which can help prevent nappy rash. These wipes have been used my mums and nurseries in the Nordic countries for decades. Moving to UK we realized that these wipes did not exist, and after having family and friends bringing them over for years, we decided to start our own company.

Today the wipe is recommended by Nordic midwives and health visitors, to be used on newborns and babies as it is good for sensitive skin, and helps prevent nappy rash.

The Nordic Wipe is:
100% Allergy friendly
100% Fragrance Free
100% Parabene Free
100% Free of preservation substances
100% Free of colouring and bleaching agents
100% Disposable
100% Oeko-Tex certified

Nordic wipes (100 wipes in a pack) come in a vacuum compressed bag once I had opened the pack it expanded.
I have received a pack of full size wipes, they also come in half size. The total price for a box of 5 packs of wipes is £9 including postage. You can purchase them here.

It is very easy to use Nordic wipes just follow these easy steps:
- open the pack
- take the wipe out
- wet the wipe
- squeeze excess water if needed
- apply the wet wipe on your baby's skin
Wipes are made of soft foam and become even softer when wet and don't leave any irritations on baby's skin. Even though they are foam wipes when wiping nothing comes through and your fingers will be poo-free.
We have been cutting wipes into small strips or just torn bits for "topping and tailing" and at every nappy change, by doing so they lasted longer.
I wasn't brave enough to use them when out and about as recommended on the website, as I think it might get messy especially when changing area is lacking in space.

The only minor concern I had was with storing the wipes, as from the moment you open a pack you can't put the wipes back in it's packaging, but if you can find a tin or a small box it won't be a problem. I have also noticed that over the time wipes became yellow- ish but this didn't affect it's properties.

Recommendations: as per my previous comment it would be great to see a range of products from wipes to storage boxes.
