Visible
changes in my body: none,
apart from my bump looks weird sometimes when little L moves on one
of the sides.
Other:
I started to go for a
wee more often at night.
I have seen my consultant last week, baby is engaged which is good,
it's a shame no one can
say when exactly our baby will arrive. Started or should I say trying
to finish sorting out bits and pieces around the house.
How do I feel: I feel good (touch wood), can't really lie on my back as it is very uncomfortable and getting tired quicker, but it's almost the end of our pregnancy journey
Cravings: still none.
Fitness: swimming once a week, our treadmill is in the house but didn't have a chance to put it up properly.
Baby: At 38
weeks baby is has probably lost all the fine, downy
hair and protective white vernix from their skin now. She is
putting on weight in order to be able to control her body temperature
outside the womb and to protect her organs. She is also building up
waste made out of amniotic fluid, blood and skin in her intestines.
She will excrete this after she is born. Her skin tone is now closer
to the natural colour she will be when she is born.
So close to the end now, you must be pretty excited! #ShareWithMe
ReplyDeleteWow I bet you are really starting to feel excited now, you are in the final stretch! Take it easy and enjoy these last couple of weeks x
ReplyDeleteExciting times, not long now. You must be enjoying your swimming sessions. I was really happy in the swimming pool for my three little ones' lessons towards the end of my pregnancy this time round. Mel #SharewithMe

You are in the home stretch!! Enjoy the last few weeks ... for me they felt so long and yet went by so quickly :)
ReplyDeleteFascinating. How good of you to share this. I have vague memories from 50 years ago when I was pregnant. I never knew what was going on inside the womb with my baby. Visiting from UK Bloggers.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for these last couple of weeks and I'm glad you're feeling fairly good. I'm 36 weeks now and exhausted! Thanks for sharing #BabyBabble xx

ReplyDeleteAt this stage my friend (baby now 3 weeks old) found an exercise ball great for back pain. Enjoy the end of your journey
ReplyDeleteWon't be long now! I agree with the comment about an exercise ball for your back - also good to get things going for labour x #babybabble

At 38 weeks you're in the 'any time soon' month - it's really nearly happening! I'll second the suggestion for a gym ball if you're getting achy; that and doing yoga cat rolls really help me be comfy :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness you're SO close now. Exciting! I think I spent the last month of my pregnancy with F bouncing up and down on a birthing ball. I really need to get one again this time too. I have a Yoga DVD that I want to spend more time doing too. Rest up and enjoy this last special phase. I'm excited for you! Thank you for linking up again to the #BlogBumpClub. x

ReplyDeleteSounds like you're doing great!
